Welcome!
Hello World!
Last week, we met with local journalist, Doug Moore, who had interviewed us the week before while he was writing an article on the story of how Kasey and I met. That evening he reached out to let us know that the story may be published the next morning, September 30, so we planned to keep an eye on the newspaper. I think both Kasey and I were anticipating the article being printed in the Lifestyle section, several pages deep.
6 am the next morning, I’m driving Kasey to the airport when she receives a text from a friend, exclaiming that our story is on stltoday.com. We were so excited, so I knew reading the article would be the first thing I did after dropping Kasey off for her flight and making it home. On the way home, I decided to swing by a gas station and check if the article was included in the print-version of the publication too. Upon finding the stack of newspapers, I see our story on the cover of the paper, above the fold!! Un-be-lievable! I immediately texted Kasey and alerted her to the exciting news. After buying 2 papers, I read the story and was really happy with how well it came together and how Doug presented it.
The End.
As it turned out, this was not the end. Around 9 am CST, the page began gaining traction on the internet. People started sharing the article from the website to Facebook, and from one person’s news feed to the next. One thing led to another, and the whole story went viral. Traveling to countries all over the world, being read in all different languages.
… So here we are now. People from around the globe have reached out to us, wishing us the best in our relationship and sending us positive messages of how our story is impacting their lives, and we want to continue spreading our love and sharing our story so we decided to start this blog.
We want to use this blog as a space for us to share stories and resources from our relationship, whether they’re anecdotes, authors, triumphs, or challenges. We are not counselors nor experts for love or relationships. We do not know everything and we are not perfect. Our goal is to share what we are learning and how we attempt to work through our challenges. Kasey and I like to have fun too, so it won’t be all relationship work, but other adventures as well.
We’re so happy that our story has resonated with so many people from so many places and that everyone is reaching out to us, and we look forward to the energy that can be shared from our blog going forward.
– Henry & Kasey
